Hi everyone!

Beautiful Penticton BC Cycling. Just finished Christmas holidays hohoho! Lots of jollying and am experiencing a little excess poundage. Tis the season to be cold so I believe everyone is skateskiing at Apex instead of cycling. Although I have seen a few foolhardy... I mean hearty souls out there. Keep in touch everyone.

  4. You are a blogging machine Harold, what are you talking about.. I haven't looked at my mtn bike yet... think I will road ride again.. you guys should dust off your road bikes and come out. We are going to be doing so much at mtn biking in the spring, don't want to get sick of riding them.. you won over yet?

  5. Pretty good ride yesterday.. we had 8 guys ride 90 km... the back rode to Oliver and back the highway, with Maclean Creek thrown in.. no flats... Karl Peterson was out...he is riding pretty strong.. those gym workouts must be helping as the hills didn't seem as big as previous years..

  8. Throwing this out there... I think we need to come to a conclusion on Saturday rides and what people should expect... just a tempo ride or a hammer and wait... easy tempo for a certain distance and then a free for all... or whatever.. we had 30 riders out this Saturday and there seem to be some confusion on the ride and what to expect or what some expected.. who do you wait for? who don't you wait for? how long do you wait? I think for half the people Saturdays is a training day as they don't ride 4 or 5 days a week but the other half it isn't and they want to have a group ride that stays together how do we go about acommodating both group of riders.... weigh in...

  9. well I am a twetter, and a blogger now.
i think the saturday rides are just fine. If you have other plans to ride as a group lets hear them. WE are not a raceing team. We are a bunch of people with one thing in common on Saturday morning. Coffiee. and not working on the honey do list. For some. This is the only time to feel loved by our brothers and sisters. It is not a training ride or a training group. It is a ego boosting kicked your ass at what ever the and where ever the sprint line is when Van wins. So if you show up thinking we are here to ride for you only and your adjenda to bad. if you want to drink coffiee come on out.

  10. Don't beat around the bush...tells us how you really feel.
But I am with you... With a addition of a fairly easy ride for the first 15km
And soft padeling (waiting for casualties) for the first half of the ride (within reason)

  11. I was in Kamloops over the weekend and got in on a group ride... nice people and good ride.. We did around 90km and this ride was almost exactly as what we are doing now... with the exception of they don't do any sprints and they might start a bit faster.. but they hammer the hill pretty good..they have several regroup spots as we do. If you are in Kamloops on a Sunday the ride leaves from Spokes in Motion at 10am..

  12. Test of Metal 4hr training ride... hard and fast.
We are meeting at the Bike Barn at 9:00 Monday May 18th morning for a long mountain bike ride. Going up through Campbell Mountain, up Greyback, down High Pony, then either up the other side of the Mice or up Gerry mountain. We are shooting for about four hours. It should be a great ride!!

  13. nice group ride, 7 of us. didn't seem to be any bitchin about anything. the guys who wanted to go hard went hard and the guys who didn't went hard anyway. all met up at the top of the hill and we mosied along. the backside of green mt. road was fast and fun. broke into two groups again. and no one complaned. Coffiee was good. and we all went home happy. groups are more fun then solo.

  14. Just what is Lance Armstrong really doing in the Giro? He seems to be changeing a lot of the race to suit himself. If he can not keep up he should just except his place and keep his big texin usa mouth shut. Just because he hates crits dose't mean everyone else does. All he wanted was a extra rest day beacuse he can not admit is is not as good as his ego thiks he is. He is old and tired. They fans desirve better at the giro and he is not provideing it.

  15. does the bike make the rider or the rider make the bike. either way I was first to the chute lake cattle guard rideing a Giant TCR Advanced SL. I would say this bike helped me climb. Loosing 7 lbs has helped too. I finally beat John Surkan up a hill.
Congraduations to Dennis Menchov for winning the Giro on the same bike I beat John on. Look out Junkies.

  16. I heard that you were starting to climb like Contador... look out....

  17. yes. the bike does make a big differencs. I wish i would have had it for Giants head. it would have been fitting Giant bike leading the group up Giants head. But untill later I am back where I can always be found. Does anyone have any idea how to ask my wife for forgivness?
